Dutch radio debut, new BPX single and more...

The spring and early summertime have seen much activity and international attention for Michael's work with Bipolar Explorer.

It all kicked off with a glowing review from London for the group's latest album, Til Morning Is Nigh, published in the seminal indie UK music journal, The Sound Projector. The band's London radio debut followed, as tracks from both Til Morning and 2017's Dream Together were featured over several weeks on London's great Resonance FM, including the June 24 radio debut of the band's epic 11 minute track, "To The Other Half of The Sky", Dream Together's closer - famously described by France's Indiemusic as the group's "tour de force".

In May the band was invited to contribute a sonic work for inclusion in a special event broadcast of London's The Dark Outside. Accordingly, Michael composed and the band recorded a new track, The Dark Outside, The Light Within, for London 87.7FM, which premiered during the 24 hour broadcast on the night of the summer solstice in collaboration with The London Borough of Culture, live from Waltham Forest. On July 17, the band released the track as a digital single, exclusively via Bandcamp and Slugg Records.

Finally, on July 19th, the band made its Dutch radio debut on The Netherlands's Radio Hoogeveen - their post-rock program De Mist featuring the band's song "Never" from their 2018 double-album, Sometimes in Dreams.

Currently, Michael is at work on the band's ninth album, expected release on Slugg Records early 2020; the second Tremosphere album; and the first book of memoirs about Summer, Of Love and Loss - Book One: Summerlove, coming soon on Ginger Press.
